For those who can 3D Print I have updated my source files you can download for free so you can 3D Print these for yourself.
I have made new versions of my Clothes Hangers Extensions.
• A Beefy version of my lightweight version needs to be taped to the hanger.
• A new Heavy Duty version, that can be snapped into place or removed while clothing is on the hanger. No tape. These are not flexible like the lightweight versions.
*unfinished = Fresh off the 3D printer, you will need to deburr, file, and sand items for final use.
* Finished ready to use = just that, I did the sanding.
** Currently only 3D printing in White or Light Gray is for Sale. I am planning to make each size a color: And working on making sizes larger than 2x Large. Custom orders for Colors or Sizes are possible. The prices are for each part, You need 2 parts per hanger, hangers are not included. They are the Dollar Store versions, they have had for years, I hope they are the same elsewhere.
Commercial use license, if you choose to print them yourself and use them for your commercial purpose, please donate if you can. Currently, I’m the only one selling finished items directly.
Made-to-order items are made in order of payment. Due to the sizes of these items, shipping will require a large USPS box or tube. You will be sent an invoice for shipping once all parts are ordered. For domestic shipping plan on @ 10-$20 to start with. Shipping cost will be the actual cost of shipping, with no handling fee from me.
Recommend 3D printing settings, post-work
All items are 100% solid, except any parts used with dye. If 3D printed items will be used with dye and get wet you should over-extrude as much as you can. And Iron top layers.
Do not resize the snap-on version,(26-4) if needed cut off some from the end using your slicer. Use your slicer to shorten or lengthen versions 9,11,12
Using a 300mm x 300mm 3D Printing workspace I can print this many extensions a the same time.
Small = 6 Items in a single 3D Printing job.
Medium = 6 Items in a single 3D Printing job.
Large = 4 Items in a single 3D Printing job.
X Large = 3 Items in a single 3D Printing job.
2X Large = Single Item in single 3D Printing job.
Hangers, 3D printing settings:
• All parameters
• 0.3 layer height.
• 1mm lines ideally
• Small Brim or skirt that contacts the item, outside only.
Hangers, Post sanding:
• Use a plastic deburrer to clean up items quickly.
• Use fine jeweler files to file down any areas needed.
• Smooth out the inside sides
• With force scrape the insides “top” area to remove any hanging filament loops.
• Install onto hanger, verify no bulge next to the locking tabs. If so remove the item and sand more of the tabs until the item no longer bulges while installed.
