A few years ago I wanted to do some large Mosaics made out of LEGO bricks. While planning the project I realized how expensive the finished model would be. In an effort to find a cheaper way to make Mosaics out of LEGO bricks I came up with this style. Still, have not picked a name but so far the best explanation is “flexible self-supporting accordion-style mosaic.”
The accordion-style mosaic is made by placing each level of bricks in a different direction and overlapping the layer below. Once finished the whole design can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The larger the design, the more flexible the display becomes. You can create full circles, or pillars, or have a wavy effect like a flag in wind.
Commissioned work can be of any subject or size. Larger displays have a support structure built within the display. Company Logos Signs Photo realistic Mosaics are also available.Enjoy!
