2025/01/25 I am updating this page with more pics and more info in the next few days. I was down to just a single custom part to make and then wire my coils. I stopped when an AI published the basic idea for my new motor. I will post images and links to everything.
I’m at a point with no future funds to cover the finishing of my 1st prototype on a new type of electric motor and then get it patented. I need support to finish, materials, funds to get patented, etc..
I already have all the CAD files done and printed out test parts to verify all will print and fit. I’m using 9.5mm magnets and this outer core part is printed and done. I need to print the center core and hand winding.
At the least, I need these materials to finish a working prototype so that I can take someplace to get a loan to do the rest.
To keep my 3D printer running and get the prototype done at the least I need
• 5kg+ of PC-CF (Polycarbonate / Carbon fiber) Filament (center core alone is 2.6 kg).
• Under $200 for parts to print PC-CF.
• 6+ KG of HatchBox ABS filament.
• @250$ for Bolts and Hardware.
• Magnet Wire Enameled Copper Wire of more than 10 LBS for my hand winding.
• 1 or 2 per prototype (data and Voltage Slip Rings) through shaft.
• Wood and parts to mount motor.
• I have an Arduino and a NEMA 23 motor that should work to spin and collect data on the new motor/generator. I have no clue how to program that but access to a real test rig once done would be better.
• More 9.5mm (3/8ths”) magnet N52 would enable more version of this prototype made. (double most parts listed to make more than 1 version of New Idea).
• Thermometers (cabled and hand Laser)
• RPM monitors
• Power Load Dump, data log device
In a better-funded way.
• Multiple prototypes all using the same magnetic ring. One designed as all motors before are made, then 3 versions of mine.
• CNC parts and Laser cut metal sheets. 3D printed 9.4mm magnets have an air gap of plastic between the coils if 2-3mm. CNC parts could be less than 0.3mm. Big difference.
To the max;
• 25.4mm (1”) magnet instead of 9.5mm. Would make my hand winding much easier.
If you have any of these materials and /or can donate please contact me. I would like to make the world better. And If I’m right you will be a supporter of getting this new design out there,
Thanks
