Here is the start of another style of a building I have been thinking of. I have always enjoyed living next to water and fish Aquariums. And what if our house were the aquariums.
In this design, the interior is surrounded by a large aquarium that continues below and above the house.
The living level would have floor to ceiling windows to the aquarium. And the ceiling would also have windows giving underwater views.
The exterior of the house would be covered with windows.
The water above the roof would be at depth for wetlands, the interior area would continue below the main floor resident level. This depth enables all sorts of fish types and plantings. The roof could also support small trees and other natural items.
Ideally, this style of house would be built in year-round warm weather. If in a hot or cold environment a dome greenhouse could be built to cover the above-ground pond.
In these renderings I have left out rooms and such, so you can just imagine these. But as you can see there is ample room surrounding the interior aquarium for living space.
